Going Keto is Easier Than you Think!
Written by Zimmaron
People have all sorts of reasons for why they can’t succeed at dieting... and I would agree. Just like learning to ride a bike for the first time, the old saying “easy does it” applies.

If you think of Keto as being less a diet and more of a lifestyle, it can make it a lot easier and more fun. Because while most diets focus on restrictions when you reframe it as a lifestyle it can now be more of an adventure.

Change for most of us can be difficult, especially when the benefits are unclear. Desiring change is one thing, but following through on it, day after day, is a whole other matter entirely.

Believe it or not, transitioning to a keto diet may not be as difficult as you think. The reason is that there are probably many food items that you already eat on a regular basis, that are already keto complaint.

In other words, you only need to adjust certain foods already in your existing diet and supplement them with other keto compliant foods to balance them out.

There’s no need for a major overhaul or do or die type of changes. No need for apps or to count your calories, or to exercise more, unless you want to. That makes it so much easier to transition and makes it less of a chore.

It really boils down to building on what you are already doing and adjusting where necessary. Especially, if you’re already eating a relatively healthy and cutting out a lot of processed foods.

On a keto diet you can eat pork rinds, steak, eggs, butter, cream cheese, or even avocados if you like. All of these are keto compliant ingredients. I do however recommend eating organic, hormone free, grass-fed/grass-finished foods in all categories where possible.

While this article is not about toxicity in our foods, or a discussion of organic vs inorganic, I will tell you straight up that it matters when it comes to your health and longevity. It is worth the extra cost. Now back to Keto…

When you focus on the things that you're adding, rather than removing, your taste buds will gradually begin to adapt to the changes and you’ll be able to curb many of the cravings that is common in traditional diets.

Foods that used to be priority for you will gradually fall off your priority list without effort or strain. Sooner or later you will naturally transition to a completely keto-compliant diet and you will love it even more. It may take some time, and that’s okay!

Remember, you're not trying to impress other people by putting on a show. The pounds will come off naturally, and you will feel better, without the cravings and without being hungry, or feeling like you’re missing out.

There is a reason why the tortoise won the race. Build on the keto foods that you already eat and enjoy the ride along the way. You will win.
